Registration for Course: Selected candidates will have to register for the course by paying a demand draft of Rs.30,000/- towards registration fee favouring “ Commander Ali’s Academy of Merchant Navy” payable at “Hyderabad”
After registration selected candidates will be issued a Call Letter for joining the 3 months Australian Deck Cadet Course to be held at the campus of Commander Ali’s Academy of Merchant Navy from 01st July 2024.
Placement: After successful completion of GP Rating Course & after getting the CDC, the candidate will be provided 100% placement assistance through campus selection /Approved Recruitment and Placement companies.
Australian Deck Cadet Course Eligibility Criteria:
Australian Deck cadet(ADC) Course is of 3-months duration,it is similar to deck cadet course but it is approved by Government of Australia.
Educational Qualifications
The minimum educational qualification is “A” level and its equivalent (10+2 years of formal study), within the following streams:
- Science (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics),
or
- ITI or Diploma Pass from any government approved Institute with minimum 50% aggregate marks in final year. A minimum 40% marks in English Language.
Age limit:
Minimum: Not less than 16 years, Maximum: Not more than 25 years
NOTE: Candidates who are awaiting for 12th Board Results can also apply.
Medical standards:
Minimum Height-157 cms, Weight-48 kgs.
Should be physically fit for sea and should meet the medical standards laid by the Director General of shipping.
Eyesight/Vision:
Use of corrective lenses for eyesight is permitted but the maximum permissible limits, at entry, are 6/12 in each eye or 6/9 in better eye and 6/18 in other eye for distant unaided vision. Color blindness is not permitted.
Mode of selection:
Written /Interview/ Medical examination.
ADC Course duration:
Australian Deck Cadet course is a 3 months residential course.
ADC Course fees:
Course Fees For ADC course is 2.5 Lakh Rupees.

18 Months sailing as a Deck cadet with at least 6 months Bridge watch keeping duties &

Post Sea Training at Australian Maritime College, Tasmania, Australia for 8 months
Obtain 2nd Mate COC (AMSA, Govt. of Australia) & Advanced Diploma in Applied Science by UTAS
Complete 18 Months Sea Time as 3rd / 2nd Navigating Officer
(Salary US $ 1000 - US $ 2500 Month)
8 Months Preparatory Training (AMSA, Govt.of Australia).
Obtain Chief Mate COC by AMSA & Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science by UTAS
Complete 18 Months Sea Time as Chief Officer
(Salary US $ 2500 - US $ 6000 Month)
Obtain Master (Foreign Going) COC and Said As Captain of the Ship
(Salary US $ 4500 - US $ 10000 Month)
